Shakthi & Ramya Nambeesan in Atta Nayagan

After getting noticed for his good performances in Thottal Poo Malarum and Magesh, Saranya, Matrum Palar – both complete love stories – Shakthi thought it the right time to select a film with an exciting screenplay, hence he selected Atta Nayagan; director Vikraman’s assistant Rudra is the director. When Shakthi and Rudra decided to cast a successful and popular upcoming actress as heroine, they approached Ramya Nambeesan, the star of Raman Thediya Seethai and she eagerly accepted the role, understanding its importance.

With her strikingly symmetrical and beautiful face and good acting skills, Ramya ensconced herself in the hearts of Tamil youth; it is no wonder that she was chosen as the Best New Face of 2008 by Vikadan.

With this film, Ramya plans to drop her demure-girl image; the second half of the film shows Ramya as the quintessentially chic and urban girl.

With its gripping storyline, screenplay, young blood Shakthi and Ramya, Atta Nayagan should be one of the promising films of the year.
